I am wife to Charles; mother to five grown children; grandmother to eighteen grandchildren; a loyal friend and writer. While not currently enrolled in any formal school environment, I am a perpetual student in a variety of different subjects! I enjoy reading and learning new things. When not writing or reading, you will likely find me quilting!
A little historyā¦
While I have an AA degree in Early Elementary Education, (a degree earned in 2007, with an award for Student of the Year in Education), my passion is creative writing. As a writer, my goal is to do something āfundamentally goodā that makes a difference in the lives of those who read my words, and in so doing, also honors God.
I have a current blog, primarily Christian, "HeartSong" http://margiejharding.blogspot.com and a second, "Daily Threads" which you will find under the tab āBlogā on this site, which is a secular look at life from a āsidewaysā disability perspective, and of one trying to live morally and ethically in a world which seems destined to turn on itself. I have written guest blogs, children's stories, devotions, created countless puzzles/activities; and written Sunday School curriculum for both adults and children. I have had four activity books published and a family Advent book, which was published in 2010, all of which can be found at www.paxtonseries.com or Amazon.com and a host of other sites!
Additionally there is the Paxton Series dedicated to children with special needs--- written for k-3rd grade for both sides of the fence, those who have disabilities and those who ask, āWhatās wrong with my friend?ā We have a Toddler series which mirrors the originals with about half the words and many of the books come in hardback. Add to this our many other childrenās books and our latest adventure in writing chapter books for middle schoolers and I stay busy!
My Statement of Faith
I am a born again Christian, who believes in a Triune God: God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit who dwells within as a seal of our relationship with Christ and empowers believers to carry out the purpose of his will. I believe Jesus as God's son came in the flesh as a newborn, human child, was crucified and on the third day rose again. One day Jesus will return to rapture his church and the Earth will be faced with a great tribulation. I believe in the Bible as the infallible word of God. Salvation is not earned but given by grace alone through Jesus Christ. Those that know Jesus personally will live with him forever; those who don't, face eternity in a place called Hell.
